Still remember I spent my last year's birthday with JS, SL and HY in Angel, London. This year I dinnered at home with bobo and the seafood she brought. Absolutely lovely meal, thank you mum, dad, grandma and bobo!

First week of new job

As many of you may know, the first week of a new job is usually boring. Spending the first 2 days completing admin and HR things, getting to know some colleagues, getting to know what my job involves etc etc. There are a lot of things that I need to learn e.g. selling skills, presenting skills, and even names of the banks in North Asia.

I will post some pictures of phuket once I've got time, and once my food poisoning gets better. Sigh...... But don't worry, give me energy!

Another trip it is!!!

Just booked a special promotion package to Phuket (Thailand), leaving tomorrow afternoon and coming back on Saturday night. Quite a good deal as we're too late to book anything else. So excited and looking forward to having a good 5-day with bobo!

another trip?

The start date got pushed back to 14 Aug. This means I'll have 2 more weeks, and may be able to go to a short trip with bobo. That'll be great!

Eventually bought a pair of shoes for work. This is my first pair of proper black leather formal shoes. Also the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever purchased. Hopefully they'll last for long.

I've always wanted to say something about the war between Israel and Hezbollah. But I really don't know what's right or wrong. If we just look at the most recent conflict, it was started when an Israeli soldier got kidnapped. But as someone said in BBC forum, "One Israeli soldier got kidnapped, Israel has kidnapped the whole Lebanon".

Israel has a rich history of fighting. From my understanding, it started with religious reasons, then more political reasons and about oil, and of course because of the USA policies. With the new government forming (after Ariel Sharon fell into a coma), I thought things would at least get better. But reality only shows how childish and unhelpfully selfish I am.
