Japan and North Point

Oooh. Haven't blogged for so long, how's everybody?

The last few weeks have made this year (so far) more eventful. Still remember that in the beginning of the year, I had my first trip to India, first business visit to London, first conference in a foreign country, first business, and first trip to Australia. To add to this list, I had my first trip to Japan (of course for business), and first apartment! Yes, with some help from family and bobo, I am going to have my first property under my name!

So, do you want to know more about it? :p

Tokyo
My first trip to Japan was awesome! Eric, a fellow IC graduate, who also captained ICCSFT (Imperial College Chinese Society Football Team), who works in Tokyo every other week, brought me to some really nice restaurants after work. Also managed to have dinner with Vincent, another fellow IC graduate and former captain of ICCSFT (:o, yes, 3 captains in Tokyo having a beer and nice barbecue). I thought that was something.

Indeed, the food gave me the best impression during the Tokyo trip. Also it is very clean and tidy, and sakura!

Oh, work was ok.

Apartment
Have been thinking of moving out, mainly because of the hectic commuting. Started flat hunting for a few weeks, then Bobo took over while I was in Tokyo. She almost went to every single apartment that is available and we can afford, in Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tin Hau, Fortress Hill, North Point. Finally she reckons North Point is the best for my budget. So she arranged some appointments on the day after I landed. And we got it. A studio (larger than London Bridge studio, of course, and the original version was a one bedroom), looking straight to North Point Pier. So it has a little bit of sea view, just blocked by the Eastern Highway.

The mainly reasons why we chose that were:
1. it has a huge flat roof (similar to a balcony), which is just as big as the studion itself.
2. it is fully furnished with not-bad style.
3. the sellers need to move because the baby is due in 2 weeks!

So, once we've finished all the document and transactions, I'll show you some pictures.

Seoul
Second trip to Seoul for work, straight after Tokyo. Last time I stayed in Westin, which I said it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. This time I stayed in Lotte Hotel. It was much smaller and older :-( Food is also great though. Just a
little bit too spicy. No live octopus this time :p

And here I am, in Tokyo, on the Airport Limosine (actually it's a bus) to the hotel, again. Second visit to Tokyo
is less than 2 weeks time, it doesn't excite me anymore.
