Purchases

Even though account figures are running low, the recent unhappiness has forced me the make the following purchases:

Orange: 何韻絲 - What really matters
Blue: Amy Winehouse - Back to black
White: 張敬軒 - 酷愛
Pink: Elvis Presley - The King (the best of)
Green (Manyee's pick): 楊千嬅 - Meridian

I bought all those 4 (not Miriam's) simply because of their reputations, at least in my heart. Particularly Elvis, which I personally don't know the names of any of his songs. It's been thirty years since he died, but he's still a household name throughout societies influenced by the western world, and still the best selling soloist in the US history.

Thank you all who came to Heaven at Seven. Again, very similar to last year, sorry for lying down so early. I really want to play with each of you, but I was just stupid to mix different drinks. Sigh... Though it was nice seeing all of you having fun.

Finally the Australia sales team has arranged a trip to Sydney for me. Then I can travel to somewhere other than Tokyo, Taipei and Seoul. It gets kinda boring when you go to each in cycles. Hopefully it can also generate some deals too, just to give me a nice record.

Btw, no Andy Lau this time in Taipei.

東京遊記

Seems that people have given up reading my blog.

漫長的一個工作天，十一小時內，拜訪了三個客戶、四個內部會議，終於下班。先跟酒店bell　captain預定明天八時二十分到機場的車票，好奇問他健身室關門時間，他說："二十分鐘後。"我唯有報以無奈的微笑，他竟認真地說："它明天早上六時就開門了。"更無奈。那早餐甚麼時候開餐，他回應："六時半。"我揶揄他："那我六時游早水，再吃早餐，剛好趕及大巴！"唔…可以考慮一下…才怪。

回到房間換過便服，進行網上預辦登機，電視正播放著日本對越南足球比賽(under 17 or 21)，但為了趕及大部份餐廳關門前用膳，唯有捨棄刺激賽事。

到了附近的Mori　Building，找到之前同事曾介紹的拉麵店。但店裏沒有任何英語或漢語之菜單，怎辦呢？唯有硬著頭皮問女店員："Do you have an English menu?" 她回應："(國語)你是中國人嗎？" Oh my god. Thank you! 點了味噌拉麵、大島餃子(五件)、生啤。不算一流，但滿足。

Taken during our Tokyo trip in 21st July. Stayed in 2 ryokans during the 3-day trip. This picture was taken in the second one. Small break on the tatami.


Never saw Lau Dak Wah before, in real. Then it's like London buses, they are always late. But when they come, they come in two. First saw him in Times Square in beginning of August during a mobile phone launch function. Took the pictures in rather long distance, just like one of those in the crowd.

Then, when I went to Taipei for business, he was there again! He asked me to take this photo with him. Well, being a nice person, of course I said yes :p

Moving forward

Mmm.. Just another diary.

Work has been quite busy recently. I hope it will be all worth it. Have been thinking more about studying or moving forward to another area/job. I don't have a lot of courage for what I am doing, and can't see a good career path here. Nonetheless, there are still jobs to finish and learn. For example, I had my first interviews this week, as an interviewer. That's kinda new. The psychology is totally different on the two sides of the table.

Typhoon Pak Po has visited Hong Kong again, after an U-turn, actually it's more than 180 degrees. First signal 8 since 2004, also first one since I work in HK. Everyone left fairly quickly after the announcement. But I was left until almost 6pm :-(
