ITU World
Took a day off last Thursday to go to the exhibition by International Telecommunication Union, in AsiaExpo, near HK Airport. The ticket cost me CHF50 (HKD330), but I think it was still worth it (though a lot of hk people got free tickets from somewhere, or student ticket costing HKD90 like CF had). Even though a lot of booths did not aim at people like us (they aim at mobile network providers who need GSM antennas or optical cables laying underground :-|, corporates who can afford tens of thousands on wireless LAN), some of the booths were just amazing to look at.

Saw some amazing technology with CF.

3-D LCD: just the size of an LCD you find in a mobile, but able to display a 3-D image that you see from Disney 3D theatre! By Mitsubishi Electronics.

Quantom Cryptography: using photons to carry important data, based on quantom physics theories. Also by Mitsubishi Electronics.

Iris and face recognition using mobile phones: with 1M pixel camera (found on many mobile phones now), the software can recognise unique Iris features, another software reads face. Both are very quick and real-life demo was impressive! By OKI


Guangzhou
CL, TY, bobo and I all went to Guangzhou on Sunday, to look for goods in YiDe Lu for our Chinese new year market stall. Very interesting trip with purpose. Hopefully we will be able to find something unique and interesting to sell :-)

Hacken Lee - "Yin Tsau Teng 2"

Very different style, and definitely I love Eason's so much more. 2 or 3 pop songs, but altogether give a quite good mix of music. Favourite so far: 黑擇明
